A history of our updates relating to the COVID-19 pandemic
Update 3 May 2022:
We have had a great response from everyone on the waitlist and all courses are full. We are again operating a waitlist for the rest of the year and will hold waitlist requests over for next year as well. If you are a Voucher holder and wish to get on a course then please contact us.
For members, we are endeavouring to add more community events to the programme but many community organisations are still getting up to speed after the pandemic restrictions were lifted.
Update 16 March 2022:
The 2022 Course dates and locations have been confirmed and are part of the initial Programme. We will email the Voucher holders, Cancellations due to COVID and everyone who has requested Email notifications within the next 2 days.
We will prioritise Voucher holders and previous bookings. On Wed 23rd March we will open up the bookings on the Training page,
Update 23 February 2022:
The following are Provisional course dates and locations. We will confirm these on March 16. At that point, we will start taking reservations for the courses. We will prioritise vouchers and previous bookings. Please do not contact us for reservations until March 16, as we won’t be able to action anything until the course details have been confirmed. Thank you!
Kilsyth, 2/3 April (Provisional)
Cardross, 25/26 June (Provisional)
Kilsyth, 27/28 August (Provisional)
Update 8 February 2022:
We are will be finalising our initial 2022 locations/timetable in the next week or two and will publish it before the end of February.
Our Season usually runs from April until October every year.
Update 10 January 2022:
We are continuing to monitor Government guidelines and will announce our 2022 locations/timetable later in the year.
Update 15 December 2021:
Despite COVID, we managed to present a full set of courses during 2021. We managed to get through most of our waitlist by holding an additional 4th course.
With COVID still making life difficult, we aren’t expecting to announce our 2022 locations/timetable until early in the new year.
Our courses in 2022 will be £95 for the weekend. We will be selling vouchers at £75 until 31 December 2021. If you are on our email list as at 14 December 2021 we will honour our previous prices.
Update 28 August 2021:
The last course for the year is at Kilsyth (4/5 September) is on.
We have had a huge waitlist this year, but with people’s plans changing and the length of time for the wait, some people have had to drop out. This has allowed us to take people off the waitlist. We have managed to get almost everyone on a course who could make the course.
Next year we hope things will be more normal – even though we recognise that some COVID restrictions may stay around.
Update 19 June 2021:
The first course at Helensburgh (26/27 June) is on!
We had to move the original April course to 26/27 June and to help with flexibility on dates, we are holding a second course at Helensburgh. Unfortunately, we have to move the new Helensburgh course to 17/18 July (which is a week later than originally planned).
We will be sending out emails to people reserved and confirmed on these courses. If we have spaces, we will be contacting those on the waitlist as well. Even though we are getting closer to the dates please note that these dates may have to be moved again if COVID restrictions are tightened.
Update 12 March 2021:
Because of COVID, we are moving the April course (Helensburgh) to June – to the weekend of 26/27 June. However, to help with flexibility on dates, we are holding an additional course at the same venue on 10/11 July which will be exactly the same course – extending the same wall. We will have to cap each course at 15 places.
We will send an email very soon asking for your preferred weekend. We may not be able to cater for everyone’s first preference. Please note that these dates may have to be moved again if COVID restrictions are tightened.
Update 5 March 2021:
For people looking for information on Course 1 for 2021, it is likely that we will have to move this April course to June – probably to the weekend of 19th/20th June.
We will send an email when the dates are finalised.
