Who do I contact for my query?
Our remit is to educate on the craft, and to donate our services to community groups. If you are a community group or charity and have an idea for a drystone feature, please contact our Chair at chairperson@wsdswa.org.uk. We can help build the feature as a project and provide training to members of your group, if they wish to learn or help out.
We do accept donations of stone if you have some to give away. Please contact our Chair at chairperson@wsdswa.org.uk.
We are not a commercial organisation and do not supply services to businesses or to the public. Our remit is to educate on the craft, and to donate our services to community groups.
If you have a wall/feature to repair/build in the West of Scotland, we do have some professionals in the organisation and you can contact our Chair at chairperson@wsdswa.org.uk for advice.
If you are outside our area and want a wall/feature repaired/built then you can find a professional waller at the Register of Professional Wallers on the national DSWA website.
The UK DSWA also has a list of the DSWA regional branches (the West of Scotland Association is not a branch of the UK DSWA). The regional branches can be quite small – and some may not be very active. Click on the branch nearest you for contact details.
Please contact our Chair at chairperson@wsdswa.org.uk.
You can join us and pay your annual fee on our website. We also accept cash and cards at the AGM.
All the information you need is on our Training Page – i.e. courses, prices, dates, what you need to bring, how old and fit you have to be, format of the workshop etc. Please look through the FAQs to see if your question is answered.
To book a course, please go to the Training page and see if there are places available on the course you would like to attend. Our courses are very popular and if there are no places currently available, you will see a ‘Waitlist’ button. Please add yourself to the waitlist as we send out details of places that have opened up – about a week before the course is due to start.
If you have looked at the Training page FAQs and booking/waitlist process and you still have a question, please email us on our general enquiries@wsdswa.org.uk email – or use the contact section on our Contacts page.
One of our remits is to educate on the craft. If you wish to enquire about a corporate event. (usually a 2-day training session) please contact our Chair at chairperson@wsdswa.org.uk. It is fun, everyone gets involved and in our experience, people who you do not expect to shine may surprise you. It’s a great way of helping your people use their minds and hands in a different way.
